International skiing and snowboarding freeride competition organised by the Slovak Association for freeride skiing. Freeriding is a style of snowboarding or skiing performed on natural, un-groomed terrain, without a set course, goals or rules where the rider chooses his or her way of descending the given path.
Jasna Adrenalin is a part of Freeride World Qualifier Freeride World Qualifier based in Swiss Lutry.
Every year 80 riders take part in four categories: male skier, female skier, male snowboarder and female snowboarder.
In 2015 Jasna Adrenalin received the highest possible rating , 4 out of 4 stars, in the world qualification of Freeride World Qualifier. It is therefore possible to see the best world riders in Jasna. At the end of the winter season, the riders in all categories with the highest scores received move to the Freeride World Tour.
Judges assess the following criteria:
CONTROL of the rider over his/her skis/snowboard
FLUIDITY of ride
JUMPS the realisation of jumps, the number of jumps, the length of jumps
TECHNIQUE the realisation of curves, jumps, tricks
DIFFICULTY OF LINE difficulty, creativity
Regular organisators of 4* European qualifications are for example mountain resort Nendaz in Switzerland, Hochgurgl in Austria and of course Jasna in Slovakia.
